Friday, April 26
2019 Charm City Bluegrass Festival: April 26-27 at Druid Hill Park. The spring event is a top pick around town, with more than 20 performances. This year’s headliners include The Bridge, Deer Tick and Steep Canyon Rangers. Plus, local food, drink and goods. Friday’s lineup runs 3-9:30 p.m., while Saturday’s slate starts at 10 a.m.

Mobtown Brewing Company Grand Opening: 5-10 p.m. at Mobtown Brewing Company. Beer returns to Brewers Hill, and it’s time to get pouring. Wild Thyme Food Truck will be on hand.

Masarap Pop-up: 5-10 p.m. at Fadensonnen. The Old Goucher beer garden features Filipino food from Chef Rey Eugenio.

Spring Fair 2019: through April 28 at Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. The university’s annual event features food trucks, concerts, art vendors and a beer garden.

Baltimore Bike Party: 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Park. This month’s ride around the city features the theme of superheroes. It heads to Mt. Vernon Marketplace, where food and drink await.

B-Side Cocktails and Karaoke: Through April 27 at Hotel Revival. The Mount Vernon hotel celebrates National Karaoke Week with a chance to book a room.

Cocktail Counterculture Pop-up: 7-10 p.m. at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum. The party features punch, snacks from Sticky Rice, Sailor Jerry rum, Hendrick’s Gin and Monkey Shoulder whiskey.

Friday Late Night – Charm City Bluegrass Fest: 8:30 p.m. at The 8×10. The super jam features Jeff Austin, Frank Solivan, Larry Keel, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, Town Mountain, Fireside Collective, The Plate Scrapers and more.

Abdu Ali Album Release Show: 8 p.m. at The Ottobar. The Baltimore artist plays with a live band to celebrate the release of their new album “FIYAH!!!” Plus more music, DJ sets and slam poetry.

BSC Presents: Always a Bridesmaid, Don’t Give a F*%$ Dance Jam: 9 p.m. at Metro Gallery. Baltimore Spirits Company’s dance party cuts straight to the party portion of the evening with DJ Cian Noteman.

Janet Langhart Cohen’s “Anne & Emmett”: through May 4 at Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center, Morgan State University. This play portrays a conversation between Anne Frank and Emmett Till, and their experiences.

“Marooned: A Space Comedy”: through May 5 at Baltimore Theatre Project. Alex & Olmsted present a new show about an astronaut who crashes on a planet, with only her Autonomous Task Assistant to help.

“The Diary of Anne Frank”: through May 26 at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. Directed by Eve Muson, the play recreates the powerful story of a young girl hiding during the Nazi invasion of the Netherlands.

“Blithe Spirit”: through May 5 at Vagabond Players, Inc. A mystery writer encounters a seance in Coward’s celebrated comic play.

“Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead”: through May 5 at Fells Point Corner Theatre. Tom Stoppard’s postmodern take on “Hamlet” is performed in Southeast Baltimore.

Saturday, April 27
CityLit Festival 2019: 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at Thumel Business Center. The daylong event gathers literary talent for discussions and workshops, plus a chance to meet with editors. The keynote speaker is Dani Shapiro, who will be in conversation with Baltimore Fishbowl columnist Marion Winik.

Pile of Craft 2019: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Space 2640. Charm City Craft Mafia’s big day features more than 50 artists and makers, plus Thread Coffee and Mexican on the Run food truck.

Fells Point Maritime Festival: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. in Fells Point. Celebrate the history of the Baltimore neighborhood by the water with music and history on two stages, plus demos and tours.

FashionEASTa: noon-5 p.m. at Harbor East. The district turns into a runway for an afternoon of scoping out spring and summer styles. Plus, cocktails and music from Funsho of “The Voice.”

Belvedere in Bloom: noon-3 p.m. at Belvedere Square. The spring showcase features new flora and spring menu items at restaurants throughout the market. Plus, crafts, produce and live music.

Tacos ‘n Tapas Festival: noon-5 p.m. at Central Plaza Harbor Point. The event has more than 15 taco trucks, plus all-you-can-taste beer and tequila. Plus, music from mariahcis and a Journey tribute band, and piñatas.

Two Year Anniversary Party: noon-5 p.m. at Sagamore Spirit. The Port Covington distillery celebrates its second birthday with an outdoor party featuring food, local vendors and plenty of spirits.

Pretty in Pink Gala & Opening: 6 p.m. at Single Carrot Theatre. The Remington theatre company opens “Pink Milk.” The night opens with a pre-event party, and closes with a reception that features a special announcement.

Pawject Runway: 6-10 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. The big benefit features local celebrities and model adoptable cats and dogs from BARCS.

2019 Marquee Ball: 8 p.m. at Creative Alliance. The big night at Creative Alliance heads down the yellow brick road with the theme of Oz to support free youth education programs.

Deaf Scene: 8:30 p.m. at Windup Space. The Baltimore instrumental trio show off their sound that spans grunge, jazz-fusion and post-rock. You Bred Raptors?, Random Battles and 3rd Grade Friends join the bill.

Saturday Late Night – Charm City Bluegrass: 8:30 p.m. at The 8×10. The jam continues with members of Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, The Bridge, Hawktail, Man About a Horse, Seldom Scene, Front Country and more.

Come Back Give Back Day Party: 2-7 p.m. at Arch Social Club. The Penn North club carries plenty of history. Here’s a chance to learn about its story, and how to get involved.

BAF’s 5th Annual Bowl-A-Thon: 2-6 p.m. at Mustang Alley’s. The Baltimore Abortion Fund features an afternoon on the Southeast Baltimore lanes, plus make-your-own nachos and more food.
